The Asian Literary Society & Journal of Asian Art, Culture and Literature (JAACL) organized "Caravan 2021 -Bhutan" a program to celebrate the rich heritage of Bhutanese art, culture, and literature. The Chief Guest Prof. Thakur S. Powdyel (Former Minister of Education, Royal Government of Bhutan) delivered the inaugural address.
The Asian Literary Society organized the PARWAAZ 2021 event (An initiative to showcase the talent of differently-abled people). The Chief Guest Padma Shri Dr. Shyam Singh Shashi (Eminent Writer and Social Scientist) delivered the inaugural address.
Twenty-eight artists from all over India participated in this exhibition, with a display of their paintings in various Asian art styles.
The exhibition was inaugurated on 4th January 2020 at the hands of the Chief Guest Shri Devraj Dakoji (prominent artist).
The Asian Literary Society organized its 2nd ALS LIT FEST on 28th February 2020 at DELNET, New Delhi. The celebration started with a welcome address by Mr. Manoj Krishnan followed by a lamp lighting ceremony and chanting. The Chief Guest, Shri Balmiki Prasad Singh (Former Governor, Sikkim) inaugurated the literary festival.
Thirty-three poets from India and abroad enchanted the audience with their renditions. Professor Shehzad Anjum (Head of Department (Urdu), Jamia University) in his address congratulated the ALS team for organizing this Mushaira.
Many eminent artists and literary luminaries participated in the Asian Literary Society's Navras 2020 - a nine days festival of art, culture, and literature that was held from 1st to 9th July 2020.
The festival encompassed live conversations with Chief Guest Dr. Balmiki Prasad Singh (Former Governor of Sikkim), Guest of Honours Dr. Varsha Das (Former Director, National Gandhi Museum), "Padma Vibhushan" Dr. R. Chidambaram, Ms. Meenakshi Natarajan (Former Member of Parliament), Dr. Ved Pratap Vaidik (Senior Journalist) and many other eminent dignitaries.
Ms. Meenakshi Natarajan (Eminent Author and Former Member of Parliament) inaugurated the event. Mr. Manoj Krishnan (Founder, ALS) announced the annual award winners names. Mr. Kumar Vikram (Editor, NBT), Mr. A. J. Thomas (Guest Editor, Sahitya Akademi) and many other dignitaries participated in this annual event.
Dr. Arupa Kalita Patangia (Sahitya Akademi Award Winner), Dr. Kuladhar Saikia (President, Assam Sahitya Sabha & Sahitya Akademi Award Winner), and many other literary luminaries and acclaimed artists participated in this celebration of Assamese art, culture and literature.
Jnanpith award and Sahitya Akademi Award winner, Padma Bhushan Dr. Satya Vrat Shastri was the chief guest of the event. Padma Shri Dr. Shyam Singh Shashi and Dr. Tarachand Pal 'Bekal' also addressed the audience on the relevance of Gandhian principles in today's world.
Chief Guest, Padma Shri Dr. Shyam Singh Shashi and Guest of Honour, Ms. Archana Ranjan (former Indian Revenue Service Officer) inaugurated the literary festival. Dr. Balamiki Prasad Singh (former Governor of Sikkim), Dr. H. K Kaul (Founder of DELNET), Dr. Lakshmi Shankar Bajpai and Dr. Khalid Alvi , former MP Ms. Meenakshi Natarajan graced the occasion with their august presence.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Narendra Mohan (poet, playwright, and writer of the famous Hindi serial ‘Ujaale ki or’ for Doordarshan) and the Guest of Honour, Dr. Ganga Prasad Vimal (poet, novelist, and father of the ‘Akahani’ revolution in Hindi literature) inaugurated the event.
ALS celebrated the completion of its second year with great fanfare and enthusiasm. The Chief Guest, Padmashri Anvita Abbi (Renowned linguist and scholar of minority languages) and the Guest of Honour, Professor Udaynath Sahoo (Adikabi Sarala Das Chair, Odia Studies, JNU) inaugurated this confluence where annual award winners were felicitated.
Asian Literary Society hosted their first ever mega event- "1st Asian Literary Confluence, 2018", on the 14th of October at the Railway Officers Club, New Delhi. Ambassador Amarendra Khatua, Dr. Mridula Tandon, eminent writers Dr. Santosh Bakaya, Ms. Lily Swarn and Ms. Satbir Chadha addressed the audience from all over India.
